Hi, my name is Stephanie, and I am a passionate florist and creative. With my unique skill set, my mission is to transform every occasion into a blossoming work of art.

Meadow & Fern Flowers was born during my search for the perfect work life balance. I am a mother of two daughters, Meadow & Fern, who are the inspiration behind the name and the business. 

The shop is nestled in the heart of Gordonvale and is part of a shared space with “Tropica Store and Studio”.

Growing up in Cairns, I have always had a deep love for nature. I am happiest when working with nature and creating something beautiful. This drew me to start working with flowers professionally when I was 18. 

I have a key eye for design, and my passion is creating floral installation art. These skills have the function of elevating weddings, tenderly commemorating funerals and adding a touch of magic to your special events.

I am also passionate about sustainability.  At Meadow & Fern Flowers, we always source our flowers locally (when possible). We lovingly wrap our bouquets in paper, and our arrangements are made with floral wool. All items are biodegradable and will not put nasty chemicals back into our earth. Where glass, plastic, and wires are required, these items are reused again and again. 

Sustainable floristry also means having minimal flowers in stock. I want to choose the freshest flowers for your order specifically. Each stem is thoughtfully chosen. This reduces cost for you, keeps flower quality at its maximum, and means less flower wastage. Leftover flowers are given a new purpose by drying and pressing them so they can be used to make homemade gifts that are sold in the store.
